Job Opportunity: Office/ Scale Operator & Warehouse Support
We are small, no-frills scrap yard operation in Mount Airy, NC seeking a dependable, hands on team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate scale: Weigh incoming/outgoing materials and assisting customers in person and via phone.
- Handle customer transactions and maintain accurate records
- Provide straightforward, efficient customer service
- Assist in the warehouse when needed
- Inspect, sort, and help grade incoming materials
- Support general yard operations when required
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, heavy machinery
What we're looking for:
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to shift between office duties and hands-on yard work
- Good communication and basic math skills
- Equipment operator experience is a plus
Position Details:
- Full-Time position (40 hours per week) Occasional Saturday work
- Steady, straightforward work environment with a mix of customer interaction and physical tasks.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
