Position Summary
As a Member Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our members and the face of GMFCU. You will create a welcoming environment, provide exceptional member service, and support members in achieving their financial goals.
This role combines member service, cash handling, and sales responsibilities, ideal for individuals with experience in customer-facing industries such as retail, hospitality, or banking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service to all members.
- Perform daily account transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
- Respond to member inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
- Educate members on GMFCU products and services that fit their financial needs.
- Build lasting relationships with members and help attract new ones.
- Assist the team in meeting branch service and sales goals.
- Maintain compliance with credit union policies, regulations, and security standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
Required:
- Reside within or be willing to commute to the Glens Falls, Queensbury, or Granville, NY area
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or banking)
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience with individual or team goals
- At least 6 months of cash handling experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with financial products and services

Pay: $18.25 - $19.75 per hour
