Hours

Typically Tuesday through Thursday afternoons, with occasional Friday half-days and ministry events as needed.
Compensation
Starting at $25.00 per hour. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates who demonstrate exceptional administrative experience, advanced technical proficiency, and the overall qualifications needed to excel in this role.

Christian Life Church is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled church located in Eliot, Maine. We are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, discipleship, prayer, and authentic Christian community.
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, technologically proficient Administrative Assistant who enjoys serving others and desires to use their administrative gifts in a Christ-centered ministry environment.

Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides support to the pastoral and ministry team by helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the church run efficiently. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong technical ability, attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and volunteers.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, exercise good judgment, and help keep ministry operations running smoothly. They should enjoy serving others, take initiative without needing constant direction, and be committed to excellence in both attitude and performance.
Responsibilities
· Provide administrative support to the pastoral and ministry team.
· Prepare correspondence, documents, presentations, forms, and ministry resources.
· Create and edit ministry graphics, flyers, newsletters, social media graphics, and communication materials.
· Utilize Microsoft 365, Canva, Mailchimp and Adobe Creative Suite to support ministry communications and projects.
· Assist with ministry events, projects, and office coordination.
· Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems.
· Manage scheduling, data entry, correspondence, and general office administration.
· Learn and adapt to ministry software and emerging technologies as needed.
· Work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a spirit of teamwork.
· Assist with additional ministry projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
· Possess excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
· Demonstrate advanced computer proficiency and confidence learning new technology.
· Be proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
· Be proficient in Canva for creating and editing ministry communications and graphics.
· Have working knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat). Candidates with strong Adobe proficiency are especially encouraged to apply.
· Be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Demonstrate dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
· Demonstrate personal ownership of responsibilities, follow through on commitments, and take pride in producing high-quality work.
· Demonstrate the ability to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
· Be a strong team player who enjoys collaborating with both staff and volunteers.
· Exhibit humility, teachability, flexibility, initiative, and a servant-hearted attitude.
· Communicate professionally, respectfully, and graciously.
· Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Ministry Environment
This position serves within a Bible-based, Spirit-filled Christian ministry. Church membership is not required; however, applicants must be comfortable working within and supporting the mission, values, and Statement of Faith of Christian Life Church, including our pro-Israel convictions, while carrying out the responsibilities of this role.
We are looking for someone who values teamwork, mutual respect, and healthy collaboration. Our staff works closely together, and we strive to cultivate a Christ-centered workplace marked by integrity, humility, encouragement, and excellence.
Schedule

· Typically Tuesday through Thursday afternoons
· May grow into Friday half-days and special ministry events as needed.
