Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Sales Representative to join our fitness center team on a base + commission basis. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for health and wellness, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to succeed in a results-based environment. You will be responsible for generating leads, converting prospects into members, and helping our fitness center grow its community.
We are a premier boutique fitness club in Bergen County seeking a highly motivated and energetic Sales Representative to join our fitness center team. You should be able to thrive in an environment that pushes you to exceed your personal and team goals. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate and follow up on sales leads through various channels (walk-ins, phone, social media, events, referrals, etc.)
- Conduct tours of the facility, highlighting amenities, equipment, classes, and membership benefits
- Effectively communicate membership options, promotions, and pricing
- Build strong relationships with potential and current members to drive loyalty and referrals
- Achieve sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Maintain accurate records of prospects and follow-up activity using CRM tools
- Attend promotional events, outreach initiatives, and local marketing efforts as needed
- Collaborate with fitness center staff to ensure seamless member experience from sign-up to onboarding
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Assist at our front desk by greeting everyone that comes in, answering phones, and talking to members
Experience
- Previous sales experience, preferably in fitness, wellness, or retail (not required but preferred)
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- High energy, outgoing personality, and a passion for health & fitness
- Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be comfortable working on commission-based compensation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

base + commission = annual earnings from $50- $80K
