-About SGA Gymnastics Academy-
Shasta Gymnastics Academy is a dynamic, community-focused recreational gymnastics facility dedicated to nurturing young athletes in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of movement, build real confidence, and develop life-long physical skills — regardless of experience level. From our youngest Kinder Gym participants to our most advanced tumblers, SGA is a place where kids thrive, families feel welcome, and coaches are proud to show up every day.
- Our Mission -
At SGA, our mission is to build courage, develop confidence and foster growth in youth sports through positive progression in a way that STICKS.
- Position Overview -
Our facility will soon be expanding and we're planning ahead, building our dream team now so they're ready to roll once the new facility is complete! We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and kid-loving Recreational Gymnastics Coaches to join the SGA team. In this role, you will lead structured, age-appropriate classes across one or more of our recreational programs — providing positive reinforcement, ensuring athlete safety, and helping students build the foundational skills they need to grow and succeed. You'll be someone who brings energy and warmth to every class, maintains a safe and encouraging gym environment, and is genuinely excited about making a difference in the lives of young athletes. No two days at SGA are exactly the same, and we're looking for coaches who are eager to learn, grow, and be a meaningful part of our community.
- Programs Offered -
Coaches may be assigned to one or more of the following programs based on availability, experience, and interest.
⭐Trampoline Program⭐
From introductory bounce basics to advanced airtime technique, our Trampoline Program builds body awareness, safe skill progression, and a whole lot of excitement. Fast-paced, high-energy, and always a crowd favorite — this program keeps athletes moving and motivated.
⭐ Artistic Gymnastics Program⭐
Our traditional artistic gymnastics program covers all four classic events: floor, beam, bars, and vault. Athletes develop strength, flexibility, technique, and the kind of discipline that carries far beyond the gym floor. A structured and rewarding program for coaches who love the craft of gymnastics.
⭐ Tumbling Program⭐
Built around floor-based power skills — cartwheels, round-offs, back walkovers, and progressive tumbling passes — this program is perfect for athletes in cheer, dance, or gymnastics looking to level up their skill set. High energy, goal-oriented, and incredibly rewarding to coach.
⭐ Kinder Gym Program (Ages 6 months –5 years old)⭐
Our youngest athletes explore movement, coordination, and body awareness through play-based gymnastics activities in a nurturing, parent-welcome environment. This program is foundational, joyful, and an absolute delight to coach — patience, creativity, and a big smile go a long way here.
