Join our dynamic team as a Boat Builder and bring innovative water transportation equipment to life. We have a brand new facility that has heating and air conditioning! In this energized role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining boats with precision and craftsmanship. We will also need help in managing projects in the shop and being able to assist other members of the team in completion of projects. Your expertise will help ensure each vessel meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team dedicated to excellence in marine manufacturing and repair. Duties
- Assemble boat components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to create high-quality vessels.
- Be able to construct stringers, transoms, floors, bulkheads, construct custom fiberglass components, then take these components and fiberglass them with proper structure fiberglass and resin and have them ready for top coat paint, inculding fairing and primeing these parts in prep for finish work.
- Perform fiberglass tasks, such as laminating with different type of resins,
- Be able to sand and fair primers for a flat and clean finish, understand the use of different grits of sand paper,
- Willingness to learn and come to work with a positive attitude
- Understand the use of Awl Grip products
- Be able to Spray primers in prep for top coat paint.
- Understand the basic construction of a vessel and how each component works with another.
- Gelcoat repair.
- Carpentry Skills
- Perform mechanical systems repair including water transportation equipment maintenance, and ship electrical systems maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and assembly processes while ensuring compliance with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries related to boat construction or repairs when necessary.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience in marine or vehicle maintenance environments.
- Background in military or marine mechanics is highly desirable for understanding complex engineering troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with water transportation equipment maintenance including outboard mechanics is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following PPE guidelines;, and precision measuring instruments is preferred.
- Demonstrated capability in assembly processes involving mechanical systems repair and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic focused on quality craftsmanship and safety compliance.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
