Job Title: Line Cook (Breakfast/Lunch)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Line Cook to join our kitchen team, with strong emphasis on high‑volume breakfast and lunch service. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, setting up stations, and executing menu items efficiently and consistently during fast‑paced service periods. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, understands the rhythm of breakfast service, and brings a strong sense of urgency, quality, and teamwork to the kitchen.
Breakfast experience is strongly preferred, particularly in high‑volume, scratch‑based, or service‑driven environments.
Essential Functions

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items according to established recipes and quality standards

Execute consistently during high‑volume service periods while maintaining speed, accuracy, and presentation

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment prior to service

Maintain proper timing and communication with the kitchen team to support efficient service flow

Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and plated to specification

Complete prep tasks including chopping, slicing, portioning, and batching to support service demands

Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift

Monitor inventory levels at the station and communicate needs to kitchen leadership

Support other stations as needed to ensure smooth and timely service

Complete additional duties as assigned by the leadership team
Qualifications

1-2 years proven experience as a line cook in a high‑volume restaurant environment

Breakfast or brunch cooking experience is a strong plus

Solid understanding of breakfast cookery, timing, and execution

Knowledge of basic and advanced cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment

Ability to remain calm, focused, and efficient during busy service periods

Strong teamwork and communication skills

High attention to detail with a sense of urgency and pride in execution

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts

Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, including food trays, pots, and supplies

Perform repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, and plating

Work in a hot and fast‑paced kitchen environment near ovens, grills, and stoves

Maintain physical stamina to support high‑volume service and long shifts
