Nursing Instructor (RN) — Relocate to Central New York
Position Location: Herkimer County, NY (Relocation Required)
Employment Arrangement: Full-Time, 10-Month Academic Schedule

Core Details: Schedule, Pay & Package
Work Hours (Standard): Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:10 PM.
Work Hours (Clinical Windows): During active clinical rotations (occurring 2–3 days per week from December through June), the daily schedule shifts to an early runtime of 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
Base Remuneration: $40,296 – $57,391+ per year (Governed by an established contract step-scale reflecting your professional nursing tenure and qualifications).
Additional Income Potential: Earn up to an extra $13,000 annually by participating in optional summer instruction tracks (~$8,000) and voluntary evening learning sessions (~$5,000).

About the Educational Institution

The campus hosts a collaborative, heavily resourced instructional ecosystem designed to help clinical healthcare workers successfully step into academic mentorship. In this role, you will dynamically guide adult LPN candidates through state-of-the-art simulation labs, modern lecture spaces, and local healthcare clinics—molding the next generation of essential frontline nurse professionals.
Core Teaching & Supervisory Obligations
Operating under the direct guidance of the Nursing Coordinator, you will transform your years of real-world nursing wisdom into structured, actionable lessons using an authorized adult LPN curriculum.
Interactive Academic Teaching: Deliver engaging lectures, lead laboratory practicals, and orchestrate panels covering physical, biological, and psychological nursing components.
Clinical Site Mentorship: Direct, assess, and protect student nurses during their real-world rotations at local healthcare facilities (maintained within a highly localized travel radius of 16 miles or less).
Student Learning Adjustments: Identify diverse adult learning modalities, tailor instructional delivery to resolve individual student hurdles, and keep highly accurate records of coursework and clinical hours.
Curricular Improvement: Work closely alongside fellow nursing school faculty members to design class outlines, refine curriculum content, and harmonize seasonal teaching calendars.
Prerequisites & Licensure
Active Registration: Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) issued by the State of New York.
Educational Credentials: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory, accompanied by active enrollment in or completion of a relevant Master’s Degree program.
Teacher Certification: Willingness to obtain a NYS Adult Education Teacher Certification (our client simplifies this process by hosting the required brief training workshops directly on-site).
Transportation Access: A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for commuting to regional clinical rotation sites.
Legal Clearances: Successful completion of the standard New York State educational fingerprinting and background vetting process prior to your official start date.
Note: Previous instructional experience within an accredited nursing track is an asset, but highly communicative clinical nurses ready to transition into education are strongly encouraged to apply!
