LGA Garage Door Service is seeking a skilled Gate Technician with expertise in gate repairs, installation, and maintenance of opener gates and commercial overhead doors. If you have a passion for working with your hands and solving complex problems, we want to hear from you!
Job Summary:
As a Commercial Technician, you'll lead our team in providing top-notch service, installation, and repair of garage doors for commercial clients. Your expertise will ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality solutions, driving customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial overhead doors, gates, and dock equipment
* Perform repairs and installations with precision and attention to detail
* Utilize power tools, such as impact drills and grinders, with expertise
* Fabricate steel and cut new openings in steel buildings
Qualifications on doors/equipment:
-Commercial sectional doors service, repair, and installation
-Roll up doors service, repair, and installation
-Rolling steel doors service, repair, and installation
-Rolling steel fire doors service (drop test), repair, and installation
-High-speed doors (Hormann, Rytec, and Assa Abloy) service, repair, and installation
-EOD, dock plates, and pit levelers service, repair, and installation (hydraulic and automatic)
-Commercial overhead door openers (trolley, side mount, direct) service, repair, and installation, including safety device wiring and programming
-Commercial entry doors (steel doors) service, repair, and installation
-Welding skills for framing and dock equipment
-Dock shelters, bumpers, and flashing installation
-Scissor gates installation
-Automatic sensors, gates, loops, etc, service, repair, and installation
-Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot commercial overhead doors, gates, gate openers, and various dock equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in garage door installation, repair, and maintenance
-Knowledge and experience in Gate Openers, installation, repair, and maintenance
- Forklift certification
- Fire-rated doors drop test records
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
- Successful completion of references, employment verification, background check, and drug screen is required to complete the process.
- Welding experience is preferred
