Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate a team of lawn maintenance and landscaping technicians to complete projects on time and to high standards
- Plan daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure efficiency and quality control
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, pruning, and irrigation system management
- Oversee construction activities such as installing new landscapes, hardscapes, or garden features with attention to safety and precision
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools; coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations across all job sites
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, horticulture best practices, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture with a strong understanding of lawn care techniques
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments
- Knowledge of landscaping design principles, tree care, irrigation systems, and general garden maintenance
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and maintaining positive client relationships
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; attention to detail is essential
