Position Summary
As a Preschool Educator, you will create meaningful learning experiences for children while fostering their cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. You will build strong partnerships with families, collaborate with fellow educators, and help create a classroom where every child feels valued and successful.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using The Goddard School's Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and independence.
- Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance and relationship-based teaching.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress while communicating effectively with families.
- Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing regulations and all health and safety standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership to provide the highest quality early childhood education.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, dependable, and positive attitude.
- Ability to meet all Texas state licensing and background check requirements.
