Healing Solutions Counseling at JFS is a program that supports a better quality of life for ALL faiths, ethnicities, races, genders, sexual orientations and backgrounds. As a member of the JFS clinical team, Therapists are primarily responsible for providing individual mental health counseling, couples/family and group facilitation as needed.

JFS accepts insurance (Medicare, UHC, Cigna, Blue Cross, Aetna, Humana, WellCare Medicare Advantage) and offers sliding scale fees for individuals without insurance.

- Clinicians are compensated for missed client appointments at 35$ and 1.5 hours a week of administrative time.

- Length of time benefit- After 6 months of counseling, clinicians receive 50$ per month bonus, $100 a month after 12 months, 200$ a month at month 25 and 300 at month 37.

- We do not have health insurance/retirement benefits at this time.

Qualifications
- Master of Social Work from an accredited university program
- North Carolina licensure LCSW
- Master of Counseling from an accredited university program
- North Carolina licensure LCMHC
Experience/Skills
- Must be fully licensed provider. (We cannot accept LCSWA or LCMHCA clinicians at this time due to needing to bill Medicare)
- Must be in good standing with Medicare if previously billed to them
- Provider paneled with Medicare and/or BCBS-NC, or application pending with other insurances preferred but not required
- Experience working with electronic health recording software (EHR)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal
- Strong clinical writing skills for SOAP notes and Treatment planning
- Highly organized work style & work ethic
- STRONG computer skills including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & client database systems
- Ability to work independently & efficiently, to think creatively, and problem-solve
- Ability to interact respectfully with diverse socio-economic and cultural populations
- Respect for client and agency privacy & confidentiality
- Awareness of and respect for Jewish culture, values, and traditions or openness to learn
Responsibilities
- Work with diverse individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health in person and via telehealth.
- Assist with group facilitation
- Assess clients for risk factors including self-harm and suicide. Act as client advocates to coordinate any required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition; formulate initial diagnosis at assessment.
- Prepare, complete and maintain client electronic records in a timely manner, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic and treatment plans and records, reports, insurance forms and progress notes. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Refer patients, clients or family members to any additional specialists, our case manager and/or community resources as needed
- Counsel clients, individually or in group sessions, to assist them in meeting their therapy goals. Modify treatment activities, approaches and diagnoses as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries; uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
- Discuss with individual patients their plans for life after leaving therapy, conduct appropriate termination, and assist with continuity of care.
