Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Behavioral Health CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) Assessor and Scribe, where you will play a vital role in evaluating and documenting behavioral health assessments for youth. Duties
- Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments using the CANS framework, gathering detailed information from patients, families, and caregivers, in a timely manner.
- Accurately document assessment findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring clarity and completeness for clinical review.
- Support the assessment process by observing behavior, noting symptoms related to mental health or developmental concerns, and recording observations precisely.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information.
- Organizing work and tracking processes for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with behavioral health settings, outpatient clinics, or hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Experience with EHR systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to documentation are essential for success in this role.
