We are seeking two certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) for contract positions supporting a vibrant PreK–8th grade population, with one SLP also working with some junior high and high school students. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with dedicated educators and help students achieve their communication and academic goals.
This contract runs from August 11 to May 28, covering the 2024–2025 school year. Each SLP will manage a caseload of approximately 55 students, with services being provided in a supportive and collegial environment. Your skills will be vital in helping students reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) in Alabama
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Expertise working with PreK–8th grade students; experience with junior high and high school populations is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- SLPAs will not be considered for these openings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention for students with speech and language disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Offer support for a handful of junior high and high school students (one position)
