Job Summary
Hilton Garden Inn is seeking a dependable and professional Temporary Overnight Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests, team members, and property. The ideal candidate will be observant, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently while responding calmly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.
Essential Responsibilities
- Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel property to identify potential safety and security concerns.
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and report suspicious activity.
- Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, safety hazards, and disturbances.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and documentation as needed.
- Assist guests with room access and escort guests when appropriate.
- Address guest concerns professionally and refer issues to the Front Desk, Manager on Duty, or Management as necessary.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and assist guests and team members during emergencies.
- Immediately report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, or property damage.
- Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Previous security, hotel, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
