Nursing Assistant Job Description
12 hour shifts - days and overnights 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
As a Nursing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Providing support for individuals with special needs, including those with dementia or autism.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Assisting with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility or during home visits.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or as a Nursing Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dementia care, home health practices, and direct support services is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response techniques.
- Experience working in assisted living or group home settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
