Overview

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service while taking their orders for ice cream and other treats
- Operate POS systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Prepare ice cream, toppings, and other menu items following food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including bussing tables, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring food safety standards are met
- Manage cash register operations efficiently, including processing payments and giving accurate change
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and supporting food preparation tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales transactions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety management
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Previous experience in culinary or café environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
