Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Support early childhood education by implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and nap times for infants and toddlers
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with families and team members to develop individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding routines and developmental milestones
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children with diverse needs
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
