JB Tool, Die & Engineering is a growing precision machine shop located in Fort Wayne, IN. JB Tool specializes in automation equipment, and low quantity high precision parts for the aerospace and other demanding industries.
Schedule: 1st shift
Pay: $28-$35.50 based on experience

Job Description/Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Primary responsibilities of the position are to manufacture machine details, prototype and aerospace parts using Sinker EDM's, EDM Hole Popper, Wire EDM's, and other machine shop equipment.
- Applicants must be capable of fabricating electrodes via grinding and milling.
- Responsible for programming, setting up, and running products in an effective and efficient manner.
- Must be able to interpret drawings, and operate other basic machine shop equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T call outs, and job orders.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper performance.
- Inspect finished products for quality and machine accuracy.
- Ability to adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
Required:
- Minimum 5+ years related practical machine shop experience utilizing EDM machines, but not limited to Sinker or Wire EDM's.
- Experience reading prints and holding tight dimensional tolerances of 0.0005" or less.
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as mics, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and others.
- Must have own tools & measuring equipment.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills.
- The candidate must be a self-starter and require little supervision.
- Must be able to collaborate with engineers and other machinists.
Desired:
- Experience processing steels, stainless steels, titanium, aluminum and other exotic aerospace materials.
- Conversational or Mastercam programming experience.
- Hands on mechanical aptitude.
- Problem solving capability.
