Parts Counter Person - Construction Equipment

Essential Job Functions

Customer Service:
-
Accurately assess customer parts needs, both via phone and in-person.

Research and input parts orders into the computer system.

Pull parts from the warehouse for customers at the counter.

Place backorders with vendors and create accurate purchase orders.

Warehouse Support (when needed):
-
Stock incoming orders and pull parts for service requests.
-
Complete cycle inventory counts.
-
Assist the Parts Manager with various tasks.
Non-Essential Job Functions

Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse.

Help prepare for parts inventory.
-
Perform clerical tasks like filing, answering phones, etc.
Job Requirements

Forklift certification or willingness to complete training.

Ability to drive a company vehicle.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel & Word).

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and improvements.

Collaborate with management and coworkers on work-related matters.
Physical Demands

Frequent walking, bending, lifting (up to 60 lbs.), and reaching.

Ability to work on uneven terrain and climb ladders or get in/out of equipment.

Ability to read work tickets, parts books, and computer screens.

Effective communication by radio, phone, or in person.

Ability to sit for long periods at a workstation.
Environmental Conditions

Exposure to irregular noise, temperature variations, and occasional harsh substances or odors in both office and warehouse settings.
