Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and formwork to create durable foundations and structures
- Support rebar installation and metal stud framing to reinforce building frameworks
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to facilitate construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of plans
- Perform masonry work including stucco, bricklaying, and tile laying for aesthetic and structural purposes
- Conduct demolition, renovation, restoration, and carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and framing
- Handle heavy lifting tasks while maintaining safety protocols on-site
- Support roofing, caulking, plastering, flooring installation, and other finishing work as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools skillfully for various construction activities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate basic tools and machinery effectively
- Construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and resource allocation
- Experience with concrete pumping, concrete finishing, and concrete formwork techniques
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including cranes or forklifts is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with masonry, welding, metal stud framing, and roofing techniques
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Commercial driving skills for transporting materials or equipment when required
- Proven experience in construction projects involving renovation or restoration work
