Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and special education, with the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for children with diverse needs. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and promote student engagement.
- Collaborate with parents and other educators to support individual student needs, including IEP development and implementation.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress in literacy, math, and other subjects.
- Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support in their learning journey.
- Foster communication skills through speech therapy techniques as needed.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methodologies, including Montessori and behavioral therapy approaches.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes child welfare and development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably in early childhood education or special education environments.
- Strong background in behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with literacy education strategies, toddler care practices, and daycare operations is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
