Truck Maintenance II
Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Maintenance
SALARY RANGE: $31.20 - $32.20/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

R & R engines, R & R transmissions (automatic & standard), overhaul PTO’s, air and electrical systems, R & R suspension work, brakes, tires, hydraulic system repairs, R & R clutches, road assistance,

Assist other employees with PM service,

Follow safety rules and keep work area clean.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Know how to complete vehicle inspection forms.
- Able to conduct a 90-day inspection as per DOT requirements.

Able to troubleshoot and repair both air and electrical problems. Must be able to drive vehicles and forklift safely.

A valid California Driver’s License is required
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years of experience and/or training in CNG/LNG/Diesel truck repair and maintenance is required

Or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Have a clean driving record

Waste Industry experience, preferred

In-frame engine overall experience, preferred

Welding experience, preferred

PHYSICAL:
- Able to perform heavy lifting up to 75 lbs is required

Work overhead and underneath equipment.
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

Will be exposed to moderate levels of noise and dust.
