Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape Foreman to lead and oversee outdoor landscaping installation and maintenance projects, ensuring the highest standards of grounds maintenance, landscape installation, and horticultural care. In this role, you will manage a team of crew members, coordinate landscape projects, and ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to client specifications. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, plant identification, and some hardscape installation will be vital in delivering exceptional outdoor environments. Duties
- Supervise and manage a crew of landscapers and grounds maintenance staff on daily tasks and project timelines
- Oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance including lawn care, gardening, pruning, and plant health care
- Coordinate construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring quality standards are met
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, including company vehicles when necessary
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and landscape design adherence
- Lead hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Enforce safety protocols across all outdoor work activities to maintain a secure work environment for the team
- Proven supervising experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance roles with demonstrated team management skills
- Extensive outdoor work experience with a strong background in lawn care, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Knowledge of landscape installation techniques including hardscape construction, pruning and planting procedures
- Construction experience related to outdoor projects is highly desirable
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools safely
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members, manage time and multiple projects efficiently
