Shift - 12 hr shifts; 1845-0715, every other weekend
Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Med/Surg RN, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care across medical-surgical units. In this energetic role, you will coordinate comprehensive nursing care for adult patients, utilizing your critical thinking and clinical skills to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and injections, following established protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition, utilizing critical care experience and ICU knowledge when necessary.
- Document all patient interactions meticulously using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, or post-operative recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, discharge instructions, and follow-up care plans.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania RN license and BLS certification from AHA
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
