Overview
We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. Work will primarily be performed on an active construction jobsite in Cartersville, GA. Travel to other jobsites and our shops in Alpharetta, GA and Gainesville, GA may be needed.
Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.
Potential Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and repair piping systems in industrial settings
- Lay out, measure, cut, and fit carbon steel, stainless steel, polypropylene and copper piping
- Work from isometric drawings and P&IDs to fabricate spools and install field piping
- Handle threaded, grooved, flanged, and socket-weld connections
- Test piping systems for leaks and ensure compliance with codes and project specs
- Learn new fabrication and fitting processes and techniques
- Maintain consistent quality requirements
- Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and hot work permits
- Coordinate with other trades on active construction sites
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of pipefitting experience in industrial, mechanical, or process piping
- Experience with steel, copper, and/or plastic pipefitting
- Strong print-reading: isometrics, P&IDs, and weld symbols
- Familiarity with working on active construction jobsites
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia
- Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications
