If you are an experienced tech, AI, or data privacy attorney looking for a role that will provide you with flexibility to work on a part-time or interim/project basis, or in an engagement-to-hire role, then we'd love to talk with you and explore Latitude opportunities that could be a fit for you. Desired experience includes: counseling clients on various federal and state regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, GLBA, NY DFS 500, emerging AI regulations), reviewing and negotiating technology and SaaS/cloud agreements; mergers and acquisitions involving technology companies and data assets; commercial contract drafting and negotiation; data privacy and cybersecurity compliance; and advising clients during internal investigations or responding to regulatory inquiries.
Basic Requirements for the Latitude Tech/AI/Data Privacy Consulting Attorney:
3+ years of corporate or operational technology, AI, or data privacy experience
- Prior experience practicing in the Technology, AI, or Data Privacy practice group of a large full-service law firm is highly preferred
- Prior in-house experience is highly preferred for many opportunities
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, as well as the flexibility and emotional intelligence needed to successfully "parachute in" to meet a client's needs
- Licensed to practice law
- Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
- Outstanding professional references
Position Details of the Latitude Healthcare Consulting Attorney:
- Type of role: Contract engagement or engagement-to-hire
- Schedule: Flexible (full-time, part-time or anywhere in between)
- Location: Nashville Metro Area (hybrid or on-site)
Compensation:
Pay: Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, and market supply/demand.
Benefits: In addition to compensation, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
