We are looking for a Mainframe Analyst to analyse, maintain, and enhance existing mainframe applications while extracting and documenting business rules.

Responsibilities:
- Analyse existing COBOL/CICS/DB2/MQ programs to extract and document business logic and rules
- Review batch processing systems, including JCLs and procedures, to document program workflows
- Perform analysis, design, coding, and testing of application code owned by the Application Team
- Support production systems, including maintenance, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Develop or modify programs and DB2 stored procedures and perform unit testing
- Collaborate with IT and business units to design and implement technical solutions for case management systems
- Participate in system and usability testing alongside business users
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Work under the supervision of the Client Project Manager or designated IT representative
Required:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
- 8+ years of experience with:
- COBOL/CICS/DB2 coding, testing, and debugging
- IBM OS/JCL (MVS)
- CICS
- IBM DB2
- Developing technical and supporting documentation
- Participating in system and usability testing with users
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience coding complex DB2 stored procedures
- Experience with MQ or APPC/LU 6.2 programming in COBOL-CICS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Preferred:
- Experience with IDMS/DC to CICS conversions
- Experience with IDMS to DB2 conversions
- Experience with database conversions
- Prior experience supporting case management systems or judiciary-related applications
