Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches and baked goods following food safety standards
- Operate a Square POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food prep zones to uphold health standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy during processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food industry operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; café experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such Square or Clover
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely beverage preparation and service delivery

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
