Established steel contractor company looking for reliable and professional candidates with knowledge and experience in construction cost estimating. Salary rates will be based on knowledge, experience, and reliability.
Read and interpret bid instructions and abide by deadlines for preparation of estimates.
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, specifically as it pertains to the metals scope.
Prepare materials take off, estimate equipment needed, pricing, labor, and any other items needed to perform the scope of work.
Contact suppliers and obtain quotes as directed.
Commission shop drawings and engineered calculations.
Liaise between engineer and shop drawings vendors to ensure accurate shop drawings that abide by construction drawings.
Submit RFIs and submittals to the prime contractor.
Update and maintain organized and accurate database records of project documents.
Communicate clearly, promptly, and professionally in all formats (email and phone).
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Excel/Google sheets.
Assist in the coordination of the projects if needed.
English fluency required; Spanish fluency not required but definitely a plus.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
