Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process food sales and retail transactions accurately
- Scoop ice cream with precision, ensuring proper portioning and presentation for each customer
- Manage food handling responsibilities following food safety standards to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
- Upsell additional items like toppings, cones, or specialty treats to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing equipment, counters, and utensils throughout shifts
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change efficiently
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including setting up serving stations and restocking supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to serve customers quickly during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow sanitation procedures diligently
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling techniques
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation and serving
