As we continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class “A” Driver to join our operations team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Summary
The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely operation of a flatbed truck for local deliveries of precast concrete fencing materials and related products. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with overtime opportunities. The driver will be home every night and will play a key role in ensuring our products reach job sites safely and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-conscious, and takes pride in representing Fencecrete professionally at every job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class “A” flatbed truck for local deliveries throughout the San Antonio area and surrounding regions
- Load and unload cargo, including precast concrete fencing panels and related materials
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity logs and delivery documentation
- Operate a forklift for loading and unloading purposes (experience preferred)
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and job site contacts
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or incidents promptly to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Valid DOT Medical Certificate
- Must have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)
- Must pass DOT pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and DOT physical
- Experience operating a flatbed truck preferred
- Forklift experience a plus
- Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting and securing cargo
- Strong attendance record and commitment to punctuality
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
