Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) Scrub/Circulator

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with Scrub and Circulator experience for a 13-week contract assignment at a Critical Access Hospital in Calais, Maine. The ideal candidate will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process while working collaboratively with the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of surgery.
- Perform both scrub and circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures.
- Assist in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as needed.
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and surgical equipment.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team.
- Accurately document patient care using the CPSI/Evident EMR system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all hospital policies and procedures.
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Experience:
- recent Medical-Surgical or Perioperative: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Are your BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current? (Required)
- Do you have an active Maine RN license? (Required)
