Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Restoration Technician to join our dedicated team in delivering exceptional restoration services. In this vital role, you will lead restoration projects, coordinate emergency response efforts, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. Your expertise will help clients recover from water, fire, flood, mold, and other property damages efficiently and professionally. Duties
- Lead and supervise restoration crews on-site, including water damage, fire damage, flood recovery, and mold remediation work
- Coordinate emergency response efforts promptly, including after-hours and on-call response, to mitigate property damage and support client needs
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport equipment and personnel to job sites
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, and other specialized tools to perform restoration tasks effectively
- Implement safety protocols diligently, including PPE and respiratory protection, in line with industry and OSHA standards ensuring all crew members follow safety protocols rigorously during every phase of the project
- Gather complete on-site documentation including timestamped photos, moisture readings, materials list, and equipment log to support the estimate prepared by the Project Manager
- Obtain the client's signed work authorization before any mitigation work begins or equipment is set
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of work performed, including summary notes, dry logs, and progress photos
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients throughout the restoration process
Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven experience in the restoration industry, with a strong background in fire, water, flood, or mold remediation
- Construction experience is a plus — helps in understanding building systems and repair processes
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, extraction/drying equipment, and company vehicles safely
- Familiarity with Albi or similar job management software preferred
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, including PPE use and respiratory protection standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Available and able to respond quickly to after-hours emergency calls
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs individually; heavier equipment is wheeled, and any item over 50 lbs that must be carried requires a team lift — with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable working in confined spaces for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred (not required)
- IICRC certifications — WRT, ASD, AMRT (mold), FSRT (fire), or Master Water Restorer
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
