Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history intake to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, administer injections (including botulinum toxin treatment), and perform procedures such as suturing and aseptic techniques following HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines.
- Manage acute pain and critical care cases, including ventilator management, airway management, and ICU procedures within hospital or emergency settings.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient records, data collection, diagnostic test interpretation, and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and primary care to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical research and clinical trials to contribute to evidence-based practices and improve treatment protocols.
- Assist with triage in urgent care or emergency room environments, ensuring timely evaluation of patients with acute conditions or trauma (Level I & II trauma center experience preferred).
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification; experience working under collaborative practice agreements preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding required.
- Critical care experience including ICU or neonatal ventilator management; Level I & II trauma center experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, spinal taps, gastric lavage, radiation therapy support, and tube feeding.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology (including drug administration), and medical terminology.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring is a plus; ability to adapt to evolving healthcare technologies.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching, medication use, and discharge planning.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
