Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. 6 days per week off day Sunday last minute call off breaks the contract 48 hour notice required no drugs or alcohol don't even apply thank you
Duties: fast pace heavy lifting up and down stairs
- Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and commercial vehicles, for the transportation of goods.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Assist in moving materials as needed within the facility or at delivery locations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling materials.
Skills
- Proficient in route driving with a strong understanding of local roadways.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual labor tasks.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
