We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist, supporting clinical excellence and the delivery of outstanding patient care through regulatory compliance, quality improvement efforts, and best practices across our home care operations.
Hybrid: 4 days in person and 1 day from home
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00PM

Quality Assurance Nurse & Compliance Specialist
Overview of Responsibilities
1. Uphold Compliance & Regulatory Standards
- Ensure adherence to Massachusetts state and federal homecare regulations.
- Monitor and address compliance risks, maintaining at least a 90% compliance rate.
2. Perform Clinical Documentation & Quality Audits
- Conduct regular chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Review and refine OASIS documentation before transmittal based on requests of authorization and billing team, as well as “by date” from oldest to newest OASIS.
- Compare documentation with progress notes and/or discharge summaries from physician.
- Coordinate with the right departments (scheduling, therapy, non-skilled, etc) to ensure accurate documentation.
3. Train & Support Staff on Compliance and Best Practices
- Conduct new hire training.
- Conduct training for the nurses based on QA findings.
- Provide live feedback to nurses when documentation is not satisfactory.
- Keep staff updated on regulatory changes and documentation standards.
4. Analyze Compliance Trends & Report Findings
- Review 10% of notes quarterly and provide improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with DON and ADON on a regular basis to align with best practices.
- Participate in monthly meetings with nurses and provide training/updates when necessary.
5. Stay Engaged in Professional Development
- Stay informed on industry standards, attend training sessions, and maintain professional engagement through relevant homecare organizations.
6. Stay Engaged in Professional Development
o Participate in on-call rotation with the nurse management team based on the on-call schedule.
o Cover visits if call-out happen and no coverage is found by the scheduling team.
o Create on call report by Monday at 8 AM and share with supervisor.
Pay: $40.00 per hour
