Job Summary:
Provides nursing services for the Residential Program, which include distribution of medication, emergency triage, first aid and follow up if needed. In accordance with regulatory requirements.
Hours: Monday through Friday (6am-130pm).
Essential Functions:
Distributes medication to appropriate residents, ensuring monthly supply of medication, and accurate physician orders, in conjunction with medical case workers and house management.
Maintains and updates medical records for all residents while on shift, maintaining confidentiality.
Provides first aid to staff and residents as needed.
Identifies and provides emergency medical care when on site, arranges for medical transportation, and ensures appropriate medical documentation to return to program, in conjunction with medical case workers and house management.
Education and Qualifications:
Current NYS LPN License.
1-2 years nursing experience preferred.
1-2 years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid NYS Driver's License within agency criteria.
