We are looking for 5 servers to work with us through until the end of season (December).
Schedules will vary, as is the nature of events. Expect many evenings and weekends.
The Woodlands Club is a private, member-owned country club. Our buildings and grounds are gorgeous! We offer events to members and non-members and we pride ourselves on our professional service.
You will receive $16 per hour, plus commissions per event.
Bar tenders must be 17 years of age or older in order to serve alcohol.
Overview:
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing an excellent member and non-member experience through the prompt, polite service, and providing a memorable event. This requires set-up, tear down, serving food, clean up, and hors d'oeuvres pass when required.
Job Duties:
- Review and adhere to event guidelines, as provided in the Banquet and Event Order form.
- Running food from the kitchen to the tables.
- Communicating with colleagues to ensure a smooth event.
- Creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining and entertainment.
- Preparing tables, serving stations, or buffet tables for service
- Set-up, maintain, and break down buffet.
- Set-up, maintain, and break down event decorations including linens, glassware, and flowers.
- Promptly serve drinks, food, and hors d'oeuvres.
- Be present, in the event room, throughout the event.
- Vacuum, dust, polish, and other cleaning related duties prior to and after each event.
- Neatly store and stock all utensils.
- Adhere to all The Woodlands Clubs policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous server experience, a plus!
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stand, lift, pull, and work overhead.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
