Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock merchandise as necessary, and support merchandising efforts
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating with team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for connecting with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts is advantageous
