Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our office and help ensure our departments are working efficiently and effectively together.
This is a hands-on management position responsible for overseeing office staff and coordinating operations across our service, project management, and accounting departments. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable managing people, solving problems, overseeing multiple areas of a business, and stepping in where needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Experience in the construction, electrical, security, or related service-based industry is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the office and ensure efficient workflow across departments.
- Manage, train, and support office staff in their responsibilities and performance.
- Coordinate between the service, project management, and accounting departments to ensure priorities, deadlines, and customer needs are being addressed.
- Conduct regular meetings with departments and staff to review workload, priorities, outstanding issues, and upcoming needs.
- Provide operational support to the Project Management team and assist with project coordination as needed.
- Oversee service operations and assist with resolving scheduling, customer, technician, or operational issues when escalated.
- Provide oversight and support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including reviewing outstanding items and assisting with financial processes as needed.
- Work with vendors, subcontractors, and other outside partners to resolve escalated issues when necessary.
- Coordinate financial and business matters with the company's external CPA and accounting professionals.
- Maintain an understanding of payroll processes and be able to process payroll as needed when the primary payroll administrator is out of office.
- Review office procedures and workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and communication.
- Handle escalated customer and vendor concerns professionally and work toward timely resolutions.
- Ensure company procedures, quality standards, and internal processes are consistently followed.
- Assist company leadership with operational needs, problem-solving, and other business matters as needed.
- Manage Human Resources responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Previous management experience in the construction industry or a related service-based business is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage employees, delegate responsibilities, and establish expectations.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes.
- General understanding of business accounting and tax-related processes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with employees across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Comfortable handling difficult or escalated customer, employee, and vendor situations professionally.
- Strong knowledge of office management procedures and business operations.
- Experience managing or working closely with a service department is preferred.
- Experience with security, CCTV, access control, or other electrical systems is a plus.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
