What You’ll Do
- Create, refine, and maintain CNC programs for Swiss-style and multi-axis lathes
- Use CAD/CAM tools such as Esprit and/or Mastercam
- Read complex blueprints and apply GD&T to develop efficient machining strategies
- Select tooling, workholding, and fixturing to improve accuracy, quality, and throughput
- Support first-article inspections and partner with Quality to meet customer and aerospace standards
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to reduce downtime and scrap
- Support setup technicians and operators with hands-on training and best practices
- Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on cycle time, tooling performance, and process stability
- Maintain accurate documentation, including programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process standards
- Support a safe, organized, and professional manufacturing environment
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience with strong lathe experience
- Hands-on Swiss-style CNC lathe experience
- Ability to be productive quickly in a Swiss machining environment
- Experience with Esprit and/or Mastercam
- Strong G-code and M-code knowledge
- Ability to read complex prints and apply GD&T
- Experience machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems independently
- Ability to work well with production, quality, and engineering teams
- Experience taking projects from print to program to production
Nice to Have
- Aerospace and/or medical manufacturing experience
- High-mix / low-volume or job-shop experience
- ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 experience
- Experience improving cycle time, scrap, tooling performance, or uptime
- Technical certifications or formal CNC training
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology (preferred)
