Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a neighborhood boutique in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are looking for a hands-on retail leader who understands the unique experience of operating a neighborhood-focused boutique, someone who can build meaningful relationships with customers, develop a strong and engaged team, and create an inviting in-store experience that keeps customers coming back.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in fashion or lifestyle retail, understands the Williamsburg customer and community, and knows how to balance elevated customer service with strong commercial performance and operational excellence.
This is a fully onsite position based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Main Responsibilities:
Customer Service
· Deliver exceptional customer service and that reflect the brand’s identity.
· Lead client experience initiatives by demonstrating an elevated the in-store experience and drive customer loyalty.
· Address customer inquiries including answers phone calls in a friendly and timely matter, resolve complaints, and ensure a high-quality shopping experience
· Provide customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge with existing and new customers
· Resolve problems with customers, employees, and property maintenance partners proactively
Sales Generation
· Maintain high level of sales floor awareness at all times and delegate to supervisor staff as needed
· Drive and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets for each employee
· Motivate and guide the team to consistently meet sales goals, while identifying opportunities to improve performance and exceed expectations.
· Work with corporate business partners to provide product feedback and optimize day-to-day operations, maintaining a regular cadence of communication with key partners to coordinate business strategy with HQ
· Implement corporate initiatives effectively and timely
· Driving results and building business acumen through individual ownerships
Operations
Oversee end-to-end store operations
· Supporting inventory processing and inventory accuracy practices
· Ensure accurate cash handling and banking practices
· Maintain visual merchandising standards and executing periodic updates in alignment with global retail leadership
· Direct the flow of customer foot traffic to maximize store space and available sales staff
· Schedule employees to maximize customer traffic and control bottom line expenses
Leadership & People Development
· Responsible for store payroll management, in partnership with the Retail leadership
· Recruit, mentor, retain, and develop top talent
· Deliver constructive feedback to employees and create action plans to support both career pathing and disciplinary action as needed
· Lead periodic performance reviews for all employees
· Strategizing and developing product knowledge trainings for store team ensuring continued development within the store
· Recruit, interviewing and onboarding of new store employees, in partnership with HR Team
· Using all available tools and information to keep up to date on current product and be proficient in product details
· Hold daily check-ins and periodic team meetings to inform staff of any relevant updates
Role Requirements:
· 2-3 years prior experience as a Retail Store Manager
· Fashion retail boutique experience is a must
· Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in responding the evolving business
· Experience managing a retail team of 8-10, including other leaders, is essential
· Proven track record in driving retail sales growth and building brand awareness
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
- Strong dedication to delivering outstanding customer service
- Able to work 5 variable days/shifts and approximately 40 hours in a typical work week, maintaining a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evening, weekend and holiday availability
- Experience with basic Excel and Outlook functions preferred, e.g. data organization, managing multiple ongoing e-mail chains of communication, etc
- This role requires frequent standing for 7-8 hours a day, regular use of ladders, frequent kneeling and crouching, and occasional lifting/moving of 20-25 pounds with assistance.
- The estimated compensation range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 annually to align with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
