Vision Street Eye Care in Farmington is looking for a new team member who is motivated to help others as an Optician. We are a fast growing medical/optical office. This a full (approx 32 hours per week) or part time position that requires excellent computer skills, superior organizational skills, good phone etiquette, and a positive personality. We are looking for team-oriented candidates with a desire to learn and a passion for patient care. Must be reliable and dependable. The ability to multi-task and manage multiple interruptions while maintaining friendly interactions with team members and patients is a must. Knowledge of both medical and vision insurance plans is a plus as well as some knowledge of medical billing and coding principles. Experience as an Optician preferred but not required. Office duties would include taking patient histories, pretesting for the doctors, doing special testing such as visual fields and ocular scans, documenting into the electronic medical record, working in the optical dispensary selling glasses and lenses and performing contact lens trainings for patients.
