Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and communicate repair options effectively.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and other automotive repairs to maximize customer value.
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain comprehensive service writing documentation and ensure all repair orders are completed with precision.
- Foster positive customer relationships through excellent communication, follow-up, and personalized service advice.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, dealership promotions, and industry standards to provide expert guidance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician within a dealership or automotive repair environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, air brakes, alignments, suspensions, tire services, shocks & struts, brake repairs, diesel engines, and collision repair.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services tactfully while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Prior experience with auto estimating tools and familiarity with auto body repair processes is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types confidently.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities.
- Dealership experience is highly desirable; mechanic experience is a strong plus for understanding technical aspects of repairs.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
