Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Assist with inventory management through stocking and inventory checks to ensure product availability
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team supervision by mentoring new staff or assisting with training when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
- Basic understanding of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance the shopping experience
