Position Overview
Flamingo Holland is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven Account Manager to join our team. Your primary focus will be supporting and growing an established portfolio of customer accounts while becoming a trusted advisor to your customers. You will develop product knowledge, manage orders, and represent the company, working both independently and collaboratively within our close-knit office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with an established portfolio of professional growers by providing exceptional customer service, understanding their unique needs, and supporting their success.
- Develop Product Knowledge: Learn Flamingo Holland's product lines and provide customers with information regarding product availability, planting schedules, growing considerations, and crop times. No horticultural experience? No problem. We provide hands-on training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
- Order Management: Guide customers through the ordering process, from providing quotes and availability to confirming orders, maintaining clean data in our Odoo ERP system, and scheduling ship dates for timely product delivery.
- Company-Sponsored Travel (5% – 10%): Visit customers to strengthen relationships, better understand their businesses, provide ongoing support, and develop your industry knowledge. This includes occasional overnight regional travel (such as to Northern California) approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.
- Represent Flamingo Holland: Represent the company professionally at customer sites, industry trade shows, and networking events while building lasting relationships throughout the horticulture industry.
- Stay Informed: Monitor customer feedback, industry trends, and market conditions to support customer success and identify opportunities for continued business growth.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in account management, wholesale sales, customer service, or a related business-to-business (B2B) role is preferred.
- Experience within the horticulture, agriculture, nursery, greenhouse, floral, or related industries is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams).
- Experience using ERP software is a plus (Odoo experience is a major plus).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal departments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel as required.
