Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM Start
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)
Are you looking to build a long-term career in the fire alarm industry? We're seeking a dependable and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join a growing team in Indianapolis. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with excellent growth potential, hands-on training, and the opportunity to work with industry-leading fire alarm systems, including Potter and Siemens.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
- Pull wire, install conduit, and mount fire alarm devices.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and basic troubleshooting.
- Learn to read and interpret fire alarm drawings and system layouts.
- Assist senior technicians with system repairs and commissioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Deliver professional customer service while working on client sites.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical, low voltage, construction, or fire alarm installation preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical theory and fire alarm codes.
- Dependable, organized, and motivated to grow in the trade.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Indiana Driver's License required.
- Ability to obtain NICET Level I Fire Alarm Certification within the first year of employment.
