Dog Hotel Associate (Part-Time)
Location: Pawradise Hotel – Greater Lafayette, IN
Pawradise Hotel is Greater Lafayette's newest boutique luxury dog hotel, designed exclusively for overnight boarding. We are looking for dependable, compassionate, and energetic team members who genuinely love dogs and take pride in providing an exceptional guest experience.
As a Dog Hotel Associate, you will help ensure every canine guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and fun vacation while delivering the highest level of care and attention.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional daily care and individualized attention to each canine guest.
- Feed guests according to their personalized feeding instructions and dietary needs.
- Administer medications as directed (training provided).
- Take dogs outside for scheduled potty breaks while maintaining a safe and controlled environment.
- Supervise and actively engage dogs during DayPlay sessions while monitoring play behavior and ensuring every guest remains safe, happy, and comfortable.
- Monitor each dog's health, behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, promptly reporting any concerns.
- Provide plenty of affection, positive interaction, and enrichment activities throughout each guest's stay.
- Maintain a spotless, safe, and welcoming hotel by cleaning guest suites, play areas, food preparation areas, and common spaces.
- Sanitize rooms, bowls, toys, and equipment according to Pawradise's cleanliness standards.
- Accurately document feedings, medications, potty breaks, behaviors, and other important guest information.
- Assist with guest arrivals and departures while providing outstanding customer service to pet parents.
- Work as part of a team to ensure every dog receives personalized care and attention throughout their stay.
Qualifications
- Genuine love for dogs and a passion for animal care.
- Friendly, dependable, and professional.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Previous professional dog care experience is preferred but not required as we will train the right candidate.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, averaging 8–15 hours per week.
Weekend availability is required.
Typical shifts include:
Early Morning Shift: Beginning at 6:00 AM
Evening Shift: Ending at 10:00 PM
Additional weekday hours may become available based on business needs.
Compensation
$13–$16 per hour, based on experience.
Paid training begins in late August.
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
