Evening Shift Availability (Required)
We're specifically hiring for evening shifts :
- Sunday – Thursday: 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 5:30 PM – 12:30 AM
Evening and weekend availability is required for this position.
Position OverviewBaristas
As a Barista, you'll create exceptional beverages, provide genuine hospitality, and help maintain an organized, clean café environment.
Shift Leads
Shift Leads perform all Barista responsibilities while also providing leadership during their shift. You'll help coordinate the team, delegate tasks, support training, ensure quality standards are maintained, and help the café run smoothly from start to finish.
What You'll DoBeverage & Food Preparation
- Prepare Haraz signature beverages, espresso drinks, teas, refreshers, smoothies, and specialty coffees according to recipe standards.
- Prepare and plate pastries and food items with consistency and care.
- Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and speed during busy periods.
Customer Experience
- Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality.
- Take orders accurately using the Toast POS system.
- Answer menu questions and educate guests about Haraz's unique offerings.
- Recommend featured drinks, seasonal items, pastries, and merchandise.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally or escalate when appropriate.
Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep workstations stocked with coffee, milk, syrups, cups, and supplies.
- Clean and sanitize equipment throughout the shift.
- Wipe tables, maintain dining areas, and perform restroom checks.
- Restock inventory and communicate supply needs promptly.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Teamwork
- Communicate clearly with teammates to ensure efficient order flow.
- Support coworkers during busy periods without being asked.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, team-first environment.
Additional Responsibilities for Shift Leads
Shift Leads are expected to:
- Lead by example while working alongside the team.
- Assign stations based on business needs and team strengths.
- Delegate cleaning and restocking tasks throughout the shift.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and on time.
- Perform final walk-throughs before opening or after closing.
- Float between all stations to provide support wherever needed.
- Assist with training new team members.
- Handle customer concerns professionally.
- Communicate operational issues to management immediately when escalation is needed.

QualificationsBarista
- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- We are happy to train motivated individuals with a great attitude.
Shift Lead
- Previous coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience leading a team, opening/closing, or supervising shifts is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
